WORLD-2DPAGE ConstellationPromote and publish gel-based proteomics data through the ExPASy server |
The WORLD-2DPAGE Constellation is composed of:
- the WORLD-2DPAGE List: An index to known federated 2-D PAGE database, services and related servers. Databases are grouped by species and classified in three categories according to their implementation of the rules defining a federated 2-DE database. It currently lists up to 60 databases totalizing nearly 400 gel images (Last updated: 27-May-2009).
- the World-2DPAGE Portal: A dynamic portal to query simultaneously world-wide gel-based proteomics databases. This portal can be seen as a virtual unique database with up to 113 reference maps for 16 species totalizing nearly 11'900 identified spots (Last updated: 23-Oct-2009).
- the World-2DPAGE Repository: A public standards-compliant repository for gel-based proteomics data linked to protein identification published in the literature. It currently consists of 8 articles with 12 reference maps for 8 species and 2300 identified spots (Last updated: 23-Oct-2009).
This project has been published in Journal of Proteomics 2008 71(2).
